The term „cringe“ refers to an awareness that social norms and values have been violated. In a process with three steps, Julia Hainz & Carmen Westermeier relate „cringe“ as a »digital marker« to the analog space. In (Maybe) you cringed me… they contrast their lived physical experience in a performance with mechanisms of visual technology. Live projected images enable a processual confrontation between the performing bodies and their digital extension.
